Oomphy Ostrich

Oomphy Ostrich is built around far more than just ostrich muscle meat. We use ostrich muscle meat alongside substantial amounts of heart, gizzard and liver, creating a genuinely ostrich-led meal while making use of nutrient-rich parts of the animal that each bring something different to your dogs’ bowl.

Ostrich is naturally lean, so the rest of the formulation has been deliberately designed around that. Chicken thigh and skin, free-range whole egg and lamb tripe add energy, palatability and naturally occurring fatty acids. Heart and gizzard provide highly digestible animal protein, while liver, kidney and spleen supply concentrated micronutrients including vitamin A, copper, selenium, B vitamins, folate and naturally occurring haem iron.

Oomphy Ostrich gets its essential fats from whole-food sources. Whole anchovies provide marine EPA and DHA, while finely milled linseed supplies ALA omega-3. Chicken skin, egg and animal tissues contribute the omega-6 fatty acids required alongside them.

Meaty chicken carcass provides natural edible bone, supplying natural calcium and phosphorus while the final mineral balance is controlled against the stricter requirements of growing dogs.

The plant portion is intentionally small but varied. Green beans provide gentle fibre without adding excessive starch, while pear and seasonal papaya or banana add modest fruit variety. Broccoli contributes another cruciferous whole-food ingredient.

Oomphy Ostrich is 50.6% ostrich-derived and 95.1% animal-derived.

Ingredients: Ostrich muscle meat, ostrich heart, meaty chicken carcass, ostrich gizzards, lamb tripe, beef lung, chicken thigh and skin, whole anchovies, ostrich liver, beef kidney, beef spleen, free-range whole egg, green beans, pear, vitamins and minerals, papaya, finely milled linseed, broccoli, rooibos and kelp.

Seasonal variation: When papaya is unavailable, banana is used in this recipe.

Protein and allergen notice

Oomphy Ostrich is a multi-protein recipe containing ostrich, chicken, lamb, beef, fish and egg.

It is therefore not suitable for dogs requiring a strict single-protein elimination diet. Should you require an elimination diet, please contact us.

Formulated to provide complete and balanced nutrition for dogs at all life stages, including growth and reproduction.

Feeding guide

Adult dogs: approximately 2–3% of ideal body weight daily.

Active or working dogs: approximately 3–4% daily.

Puppies: approximately 5–8% of current body weight daily, divided between 3–4 meals and gradually reduced as growth slows.

Pregnant and lactating dogs: approximately 3–6%+ daily, adjusted according to condition and litter size.

Adjust feeding according to age, expected adult size, metabolism, activity and body condition.

Storage

Keep frozen.

Defrost under refrigeration and use within 48 hours. Do not refreeze once completely thawed.
