Zesty Zebra

Our Zesty Zebra is a protein-rich raw meal built around Zebra muscle meat. Zebra is naturally very lean, so the recipe is balanced with richer whole-food ingredients. Chicken carcass provides meat, natural edible bone and naturally occurring fat, while beef tongue root contributes fatty muscle meat, energy and exceptional palatability.

Chicken necks provide additional protein and natural calcium and phosphorus, while salmon heads and meaty filleting frames contribute marine EPA and DHA, additional protein and valuable fish oils. Together, these ingredients create approximately 9.5% actual edible-bone architecture while broadening the meal’s natural fatty-acid profile. Beef liver, kidney and spleen are included for specific nutritional roles. Liver provides naturally occurring vitamin A, copper, folate and B vitamins; kidney contributes selenium and additional B vitamins; while spleen is particularly valuable as a natural source of haem iron.

Free-range whole egg adds highly digestible protein together with choline, phospholipids and fat-soluble nutrients. Sweet potato, apple, pear, courgette and spinach provide a varied but controlled whole-plant component, contributing fibre and a broader range of plant phytonutrients.

Small amounts of pumpkin seed, sunflower and flaxseed oils are used with purpose. Sunflower oil supports essential linoleic acid, flaxseed oil provides ALA omega-3, while pumpkin seed oil preserves the naturally occurring fatty-acid and plant-compound profile associated with pumpkin seed without requiring a large quantity of whole seeds.

Why ginger?

Ginger root gives Zesty Zebra its distinctive botanical layer.

Ginger naturally contains aromatic compounds including gingerols and shogaols, which are widely valued for their antioxidant properties and traditional use in supporting comfortable digestion.

In this recipe, ginger is included at a deliberately low level to provide gentle digestive support and botanical diversity without overpowering the flavour of the meat. It is not included as a medicinal treatment or at a therapeutic dose, and is not intended to treat any condition.

Zesty Zebra contains Zebra, chicken, beef, salmon and egg.

It is a multi-protein meal and is not suitable for dogs requiring a strict single-protein elimination diet.

Suitable for

Puppies, healthy adult dogs, active and working dogs, breeding dogs, pregnant dogs and lactating dogs.

Formulated to provide complete and balanced nutrition for dogs at all life stages, including growth and reproduction.

Feeding guide

Adult dogs: approximately 3% of ideal body weight daily.

Active and working dogs: approximately 4% daily.

Puppies: approximately 8-10% of current body weight daily, divided between three or four meals and adjusted according to growth and body condition.

Adjust according to age, expected adult size, activity level, metabolism and body condition.

Storage

Keep frozen.

Defrost under refrigeration and use within 48 hours. Do not refreeze once completely thawed.
