Wild Beast & Dandelion is built around Wildebeest-derived ingredients, including muscle meat, heart, lung, liver, kidney and spleen. Wildebeest muscle remains the first and largest ingredient, keeping this a genuinely game-rich meal. Wildebeest heart and lung allow us to use more of the animal while providing highly digestible protein, iron, B vitamins and naturally occurring choline and taurine.

Because Wildebeest is naturally lean, beef tongue, meaty duck carcass and whole Atlantic mackerel provide the richer side of the recipe. Tongue supplies fatty muscle meat and strong palatability, while duck carcass contributes natural calcium and phosphorus together with residual skin, meat and connective tissue. Whole Atlantic mackerel provides marine EPA and DHA, additional protein and naturally occurring vitamin D and selenium.Wildebeest liver, kidney and spleen each have a specific nutritional role. Liver contributes vitamin A, copper, folate and other B vitamins; kidney supports selenium and B-vitamin supply; and spleen provides naturally occurring haem iron. Pumpkin, blackberries, cauliflower, radish and kale give our Wild Beast a slightly broader plant profile than many of our venison recipes, while remaining a small part of a 94.75% animal-derived formula. Finely milled flaxseed provides whole-food ALA omega-3 support, with a small amount of high-linoleic sunflower oil used specifically to support the essential omega-6 profile.

Why dandelion?

We use finely milled dandelion leaf as Wild Beast’s dedicated functional botanical. Dandelion leaves naturally contain a broad range of plant compounds including polyphenols, flavonoids, phenolic acids and carotenoids. These compounds are widely studied for their antioxidant activity and their ability to help protect cells against oxidative stress.

Traditionally, dandelion has also been valued as a digestive herb, particularly for supporting normal digestion and appetite. Research into dandelion and its constituents has identified compounds such as chicoric acid, chlorogenic acid and luteolin derivatives that are being investigated for their interaction with gastrointestinal function and the gut environment.

Dandelion leaf is also naturally rich in potassium and has a long history of use for normal fluid balance and urinary function. Its traditional use also extends to liver and digestive support, and modern research continues to investigate dandelion’s antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective properties.

In Wild Beast & Dandelion, it is included to provide botanical diversity, antioxidant phytonutrients and gentle digestive and fluid-balance support—not to replace essential vitamins and minerals or to treat a medical condition.

Wildebeest organs are used whenever available. Where seasonal availability is limited, the corresponding beef tissue may be substituted kilogram-for-kilogram.

Wild Beast & Dandelion contains Wildebeest, beef, duck and fish.

It is a multi-protein meal and is not suitable for dogs requiring a strict single-protein elimination diet. Please contact us should you require an elimination diet.

Suitable for

Puppies, healthy adult dogs, active and working dogs, breeding dogs, pregnant dogs and lactating dogs.

Formulated to provide complete and balanced nutrition for dogs at all life stages, including growth and reproduction.

Feeding guide

Adult dogs: approximately 3% of ideal body weight daily.

Active and working dogs: approximately 3–4% daily.

Puppies: approximately 8-10% of current body weight daily, divided between three or four meals and adjusted according to growth and body condition.

Adjust according to age, expected adult size, activity level, metabolism and body condition.

Storage

Keep frozen.

Defrost under refrigeration and use within 48 hours. Do not refreeze once completely thawed.
