Fallow Deer & Nettle
Fallow Deer gives this meal its distinctive game-meat identity, providing a naturally lean source of high-quality animal protein, iron and B vitamins. Beef heart contributes protein, iron, B vitamins, choline and naturally occurring taurine, while fatty beef tongue rootprovides energy and palatability to balance the naturally lean Fallow Deer.
Green lamb tripe adds flavour and animal-protein diversity, while beef lung provides additional lean animal tissue.
The controlled organ combination of beef liver, kidney and spleen contributes naturally occurring vitamin A, copper, folate, selenium, B vitamins and haem iron.
Whole Atlantic mackerel brings a valuable marine component to the meal, providing EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids, together with protein, vitamin D and selenium.
Natural edible bone comes from meaty duck carcass and the fine skeletal structure of whole mackerel, supplying naturally occurring calcium and phosphorus.
Cooked pumpkin contributes fibre and carotenoids, while the fresh pumpkin seeds from the same pumpkins are finely milled and used in the meal, adding naturally occurring fats and minerals while making use of more of the whole ingredient.
Blueberries and pear provide pectin and polyphenols, with courgette and spinach adding further fibre, folate, carotenoids and plant diversity.
Why Nettle?
Fallow Deer & Nettle contains a controlled amount of dried nettle leaf — Urtica species — as its dedicated functional botanical. Nettle naturally contains polyphenols, flavonoids, chlorophyll and carotenoids, along with naturally occurring mineral constituents. We use it for botanical diversity and naturally occurring antioxidant phytonutrients.
